This is the perfect option for families who don’t need a doula to be physically present at the birth but could use consistent support throughout the pregnancy to help you feel more prepared and informed about the birthing experience and transition into parenthood. Having a doula in your pocket to help answer and ask the right questions while laboring at the hospital or interpret the medical jargon has proven to be invaluable for many families!

  • Monthly video chat support sessions from hire until birth

  • Weekly video chat support sessions from 36 weeks until birth

  • Childbirth education class (one-on-one via Zoom), which will go over topics, including: stages of labor, coping tools for pain management, when to go to the hospital/birth center, prenatal and postpartum nutrition, choosing your birth team, breastfeeding basics, and much, much more.

  • Guidance and support to write your birth plan

  • Virtual support (via video, phone, or text depending on your preference) during labor, birth, and immediate postpartum 

  • 24/7 on-call support starting at 38 weeks 

  • Check-in appointment at 2 weeks postpartum

essentials-only virtual doula

This is a great option for families who feel like they may not need as much comprehensive support as the Complete Virtual Doula package. Maybe it’s because this is your second go-around or you already have a really good idea of what to expect and how to prepare. Regardless of the reason, having support and resources throughout the pregnancy and on the day of to answer questions, interpret medical jargon, and ask the right questions can make all the difference in your birth experience.
